Bienvenue au défi Verdissement

Le gouvernement de l’Ontario et l’organisme Forest Ontario invitent les Ontariens à célébrer le 150e anniversaire de l’Ontario en participant au défi Verdissement et en les aidant à planter trois millions d’arbres partout dans la province.

Vous pouvez participer au défi Verdissement en enregistrant, dans notre compteur en ligne, les arbres que vous avez plantés. Le compteur situe les arbres sur une carte et suit leur évolution. Vous pouvez aussi participer au défi Verdissement en vous joignant aux activités de plantation d’arbres que l’organisme Forests Ontario et ses partenaires organisent dans votre collectivité et ailleurs dans la province.

Les arbres sont parmi les symboles les plus puissants et les plus durables de l’Ontario.

Activités de plantation d’arbres

Les gens qui plantent ensemble des arbres dans leur collectivité grandissent ensemble! Le week-end de plantation d’arbres annuel de l’organisme Forests Ontario a lieu le premier week-end de mai.

    • Greening Hawkesbury

      June 3

      En l’honneur du 150e anniversaire de la confédération canadienne, la ville de Hawkesbury et le département des Loisirs a obtenu une subvention de la part de Arbre Canada, Patrimoine Canada, et le CN au nom de Canada 150, afin de planter des arbres dans les parcs. La cérémonie d’ouverture acompagné des délégués officiels est prévu pour le samedi 3 juin prochain, dès 11h00. Soyez des nôtres au coin de la rue Higginson et Laflèche, à l’entrée est du parc Mémorial afin de faire partie de ce moment mémorable!

      In honour of Canada’s 150th anniversary, the Town of Hawkesbury and its Rec Department has received a grant from Tree Canada, Heritage Canada and the CN in the name of Canada 150, to plant more trees in our parks. The official ceremony will be held with our local delegates and elected representatives on Saturday the 3rd of June, at 11am sharp. Join us at the corner of Higginson and Laflèche street, at the eastern entrance to Memorial Park, to be part of this moment in time!

    • BurlingtonGreen Tree Planting - Ward 3

      June 3

      Event will last 2-3 hours. There is no registration for this tree planting event. Just show up, ready to plant (rain or shine). All are welcome. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots – no sandals or flip-flops please! (Sturdy soles help when digging with a shovel.) The City kindly asks that volunteers bring their own shovels, if they can.

      Join the Town Richmond Hill as they preserve Richmond Hill’s natural environment by planting trees! Everyone is welcome. As well, visit the Mill Pond Splash Eco Festival and celebrate the Don River watershed. Through interactive displays and fun activities, visitors gain an increased appreciation for the natural environment, the challenges facing the Don River watershed, and the solutions that we can all implement.

      Join the Town of Richmond Hill and their partner, Evergreen as they preserve Richmond Hill’s natural environment by removing invasive plants and mulching newly planted trees. You’ll also learn about the impacts of urbanization on our local water systems, contribute to a database of citizen science and collect water quality data.Wear weather appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes and bring a water bottle. Equipment, gloves and light refreshments will be provided.

      Event runs from 4:30pm-6:30pm.
